Assorted Shades | Fuzzy Cottton Ribbon
100% recycled Fuzzy Cotton Ribbon, Assorted Shades
Approx. 15 meters or 16 yards per 50g
Approximately 1/2” width, but can vary slightly
This is reclaimed from textile production in factories in India and made into ribbon lengths in rural India using handmade traditional techniques by women's co-op groups.
These beautiful fibres are made from the left over cotton scraps, sewn and knotted together by women's collectives in India. The ends of cotton garments, which would otherwise be wasted, are sorted, cut, and sewn to create one continuous silk ribbon.
Beautiful textural elements, raw frizzy edges, give these ribbons artistic depth and make them a stunning addition for many different creative applications:
-weaving
-macraweaving
-tassel making
-floral arranging
-giftwrapping
-macrame
-dreamcatchers
-jewelry making
-floral bouquetsojects

We work within a cottage industry environment that provides much needed employment to impoverished women in rural India. We work directly with the women in the cooperative, hence ensuring fair wages, a good work atmosphere, and premium quality yarn.
